I did it, I finally made the component yarn I have been meaning to do. And these are for sale. I need help with the name. I am calling his kind of yarn "Everything Under the Sun" colorway: ??? Dragonfly wings? Tropical Charm? Lots of purple, pink and white, and turquoise.
oh i like that name! there is a mix of trendsetter yarns, berroco, bernat, some of the Joanne's house brand yarns, Lion Brand, Web's house brand, Moda Dea: rayon, bamboo, cotton, acrylic, nylon, angelina, ...really everything under the sun. heh, that going to be my new line's name: Everything under the Sun yarns! Colorway: Blueberry Fizz Limited Editions. Hee!
Can't wait to see what other ones you come up with, Michelle. Are these planned colors or do you just see what the muse puts in your hand as you're working?
I do a lot of freeform knitting/crochet, so I sort my novelty yarns by colors mostly... I picked about 8 different kinds of yarn for this batch, cut them in strips a couple yards long, then pluck out what grabs me. I tried be conscious of putting tape near fuzz, alternating them, so it wasn't all fuzz, then tape. I knitted a sample last night to include with the listing pics, and when I get that up I will be offering these for sale. I have 5 balls/skeins of approx. 133 yds each ready to go.
